In ceiling construction, when the distance on one side exceeds 12 meters, expansion joint treatment must be carried out. For double-layer gypsum board ceilings, it is necessary to reserve expansion joints of 10 to 20 millimeters, with a joint length controlled between 30 to 50 millimeters, while ensuring that the distance from the edge of the expansion joint to the hanging bar does not exceed 300 millimeters. If a single-layer gypsum board ceiling is used, it should be lined with particleboard (which needs to be fireproof treated) above and connected to the edge keel. A gap of 10 to 20 millimeters should also be reserved at the lower opening.
